The Building Full Lives program has a couple of people who have expressed an interest in nature. Each person shares an interest in learning more about nature and experiencing how learning about nature may evolve into something else, such a another new experience or even possibly a volunteer opportunity.
To get started, they went to Grandfather Falls to have lunch and explore, stimulating conversation and other possible ideas. While admiring the beauty, they decided that beautiful parks are very important for our communities and have begun to reach out to the Adopt a Park program. Also through this adventure, they talked about how plants, flowers and trees grow. While learning about the growth cycle, they thought about how our food is grown and began to branch off to explore this area more. The group went to the Urban Gardens to plant seeds and vegetables.
Since this group is still in it’s infancy, they are very excited to see how their learning will evolve into new opportunities.
