ANGIE SARVER, OF OPPORTUNITY INC, ACHIEVES CQL INTERVIEWER CERTIFICATION
Opportunity Inc. is pleased to announce that its employee, Angie Sarver, has achieved Interviewer Certification in the Personal Outcome Measures® by CQL | The Council on Quality and Leadership. The Personal Outcome Measures®, bolstered by Interviewer Certification, is a person-centered discovery process that helps organizations find out what really matters to people receiving services, and then improve supports so that people can attain their individually-defined goals.
Interviewer Certification increases the validity and reliability of information-gathering and data collection when conducting Personal Outcome Measures® interviews. Those who have achieved Interviewer Certification can help organizations develop person-centered plans, direct services, better allocate resources, and inform strategic plans based on reliable data.
“This signals that Opportunity Inc. is taking tangible steps to find out what people with disabilities want out of their lives, and then put supports in place to make it happen,” says Mary Kay Rizzolo, president and chief executive officer of CQL | The Council on Quality and Leadership. “Interviewer Certification means that they’re using proven strategies for conducting interviews, collecting information, and then applying it all to help transform lives.”
Opportunity Inc. is a non profit organization dedicated to doing our part to advance the independence, productivity and full citizenship of children and adults with disabilities throughout Northcentral Wisconsin.
Interviewer Certification is a two-year term with requirements for maintaining this designation. Those who have achieved Interviewer Certification must conduct 20 Personal Outcome Measures® interviews throughout the term. In addition, they must take part in at least 8 hours of approved continuing education activities delivered by CQL to enhance their skills and knowledge in the Personal Outcome Measures® process.
“We want to congratulate Employee Name on this significant accomplishment,” says Angela Rapp Kennedy, CQL’s vice president of systems transformation. “They’ll be key to Organization’s person-centered discovery and instrumental in ensuring services help people with disabilities realize their dreams.”
