Our unique program offers individualized services to each Participant in our program.

Our highly trained staff focuses on each person’s ablilities and works toward  independence and productivity in every life we touch.

We offer educational classes, science and technology, cooking class, crafting, gardening, life skills, physical activity, sensory stimulation and many community outings.

Our spacious center is welcoming with a home-like atmosphere. We offer lots of space for group and independent activities, a sensory room, technology room, complete kitchen, and a beautiful backyard for plenty of outdoor enjoyment.

Our specialized busses and vans offer availability for Participants to get out in the Community and enjoy a variety of Outings.

We also have a spacious lower level available for rent to host special events. 

At Connections Community Center we strive to get out into the community and be involved! We travel to different places to visit such as a variety of parks, zoos, eateries, museums and markets. We also participate in mini-golf, bowling, fishing and the YMCA. We ask that you keep a balance around $25.00 per month available for outings. This allows Participants to purchase snacks, souvenirs and/or pay for admissions or tickets to events. We also take many trips into the community that are free of charge. We will send out a balance sheet each month.

Educational Classes/Activities

We are always learning new things at Connections! From science experiments to baking cupcakes to scrapbooking, we are continuously adding new and exciting things to our day.

We offer many learning activities based on each individual’s abilities. We also make plenty of time to be silly with music and dance.

Our beautiful backyard provides us with great opportunity for outdoor games, having an afternoon picnic or reading stories while enjoying the nature around us.

Sensory Stimulation

We offer our Sensory Room to those who wish to use it. This room provides different themed sensory which we change often.  We offer a variety of music, aroma therapy, visual stimulation and hands-on sensory items.

Medications/Specific Needs

All medication prescribed and over the counter medication must be brought in its original container with the prescription label or in a separate container with a prescription label attached. We must have a copy of the doctor’s order for any medication we are asked to administer.

Our staff is highly trained. We have a variety of specific needs for Participants in our care. 

Transportation

Transportation is provided for our Participants by Connections for outings during program hours Transportation may be negotiated to and from our program if needed.
