The amazing Heidi Elgersma has been the Manager for all Family Services Department programs operated out of our Tyler’s Home For Kids since 1999.

She oversees the children’s respite program which includes weekend, overnight, and hourly respite for families with children with disabilities; an inclusive childcare program for children with and without disabilities; and operates a full-time Foster Care program, as well as a host of other programs over the years.

Heidi is a dedicated, dependable, compassionate, and caring leader. For over 20 years, her consistency as a leader has kept an underfunded program running despite uncounted hurdles in order to benefit countless families, many near desperation and with no other place to turn. For 20 years Heidi has been there to support these families and to give them hope.

It is with deep gratitude and thanks that we recognize Heidi Elgersma for 20 years of service.

This Agency has been fortunate to have Heidi heading this program and personally, I can’t imagine how we could have kept this program going without her.
